You are at home in Masseria Cassiere, at the heart of the Parco della Terra delle Gravine. It is located between the provinces of Taranto, Bari and Matera, near Lecce and the Salento: the classic destinations of the tourism of Apulia and Basilicata are within reach.

The Masseria houses the Fondazione Murgia delle Gravine, an interesting library on the history and environment of the Terra delle Gravine, available upon request.

You can take part to short courses of Apulian cuisine, or to guided visit to discover the unusual and charming Medieval Apulia, between “lame” and “gravine”, villages and marvellously frescoed rupestrian churches.

It will be a pleasure to discover the excellent local eno-gastronomy, with degustations.

The nearest seaside resort, a few minutes’ ride from the Masseria, is Castellaneta, hometown of Rodolfo Valentino.

The landlady, Mrs Maria, a skilled guide, is fond of the region, and will be glad to receive guests and serve them their breakfast, made up of local products, home-made cakes and, upon request, newly produced milk.
